Training Resources

Training for e-LiRN resources

Training for the E-LiRN resources is CPD – Professionalism Accredited for lawyers which is helpful when they are looking to complete their compulsory hours every year (generally December).  vlex training is not CPD eligible.  vlex does not offer accreditation.

Please check LiRN’s public Calendar to see when the next training session is available.  This information can be shared with your lawyers.

Training is free for lawyers/library staff

You can contact the trainers if you wish to set up a training session for yourself or a group of your lawyers who may be interested in attending a session.  Each vendor has a calendar of upcoming training dates posted to their Training Resources/Centres.

Feel free to attend more than one training session.  There is often a lot of information to understand.  Vendors are continually updating and changing websites so you can attend to see the changes though generally the basic functionality does not change.  Vendors attend the LwL conference every year so you can take advantage of that to ask questions and learn more.

Please contact each e-LiRN vendor to set up a training session for the e-LiRN suite of resources (see above).  These sessions are free and can be taken repeatedly to build up your skill set.
LiRN staff are expected to be competent searches of each of these resources as well as having their individual passwords for access to these as well.
Contact their Customer Support Rep. to set up your access.
