You must agree to these Terms and Conditions to participate in the vLex Remote Access. These Terms and Conditions are additional to vLex’s Terms and Conditions for use of its product. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
Service
LiRN agrees to provide remote access to the vLex products included in vlex (Emond Criminal Law Series, Irwin Law – Essentials of Canadian Law titles, Maritime Books and vLex Vincent Legal AI Assistant).
LiRN makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of vLex products or the information, content, or materials included in the vLex products. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiRN will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of vLex products.
Participation Requirements
There are restrictions on who can access vLex remotely:
- Be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
- Practice primarily in one of these Participant Counties and Districts:

We will verify the LSO number provided to ensure that you are a member in good standing with the LSO and have a law practice in one of the participant Counties and Districts.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you are verifying that you meet these Participation Requirements.
LiRN can refuse to provide or stop providing remote access to vLex immediately if you do not meet the participation requirements.
Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, without regard to any conflict of law provisions.
Personal Information
Personal information, if required, will be collected and managed in accordance with LiRN’s Privacy Policy.
