E-LiRN suite of resources including QL, LN Practical Guidance, WL Criminal Source, WL Estates & Trusts Source, WL Family Source, vlex including Irwin Law’s Essentials in Canadian Law titles and Vincent AI – a reputable source of AI for lawyers.

The library has one reading table, in addition to three desktop work stations. The Members’ Lounge on the 2nd floor has three study carrels, and a small robing room.

Continuing Legal Education (CLE): AccessCLE

History:
The Association was incorporated by Letters Patent June 18, 1926. “To establish and maintain a law library at the Court House in the County Town of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell for the use of the Judge and the members of the Bar of the said United Counties of Prescott and Russell.”  Today, the Prescott & Russell Law Association Library welcomes all Licensed Lawyers, Judges, Justices of the Peace, Licensed Paralegals, and Articling Students employed by members. The library is presently not open to the public.

The Association office is located in L’Orignal, Ontario within the longest serving courthouse in Ontario (c.1825)

Unique Details:
We are the only judicial jurisdiction in Ontario where lawyers serve in both of Canada’s official languages.
