History: Internal documentation indicates there was an association of lawyers on Manitoulin Island in the 1940s and possibly earlier. In 1994, the association was revived and became the 48th county and district law association in Ontario.
Facility: The library is located in the basement of the district courthouse. There is a work table, seating for four to six lawyers and one computer workstation. The print collection is very limited in scope.
